The club has been running since the early 1900's the earliest evidence to be found is an article from the 1905 Western Gazette where we played Lyme Rovers away, the final result was 5-2 to Lyme.

Charmouth has had First and Reserve Teams and have played in multiple leagues including the Axe Vale League from 1936-1939 Charmouth also featured in the Western division of the Dorset League and the majority of time has been spent in the Perry Street and District League.

Charmouth holds a few records in the Perry Street League including the highest score in a league match with a 32-0 win over Stockland Club and the second record coming in the same game where Colin Bowditch scored a record 16 goals in a single game.
